Meeting the Dr.

Jun 15, 2012 11:56

So, met with Dr. Davis yesterday. It was a meet and greet mostly, for us to talk with him and lay out our various issues.

After talking with Lynn a bit he's set up for Lynn to have a hearing test and investigating his memory issues. He thinks most of the issues are related to these two. And .. I can totally see that. So we'll start with that and ( Read more... )

You mentioned the hair and I thought, "PCOS!" It might not be, of course, but labs and an ultrasound would say.

The laser treatment sounds painful, but I'm glad you've found a sympathetic doctor at last. They do exist!

Sad thing is that I've been to an endocrinologist before and they took blood but said nothing about it. :(

Sympathetic doctors are so rare.

Doubling sentiments... gythiawulfie June 15 2012, 19:54:28 UTC
You wrote about the hair, and I went... hmmm PCOS? Maybe?

Also, Meloxicam is more than a pain reliever, it is also an anti-inflammatory, so if it is PCOS which by the way causes lots of lower back pain, it will relieve some of that too.

I am on Meloxicam for my osteoarthritis pain. It works a good 90% of the time. (Breakthrough pain, is usually really BAD and ain't nothin' yet stopped that stuff...)

And lower back pain is another of the issues. I can't walk for very long without it acting up and standing for longer than 5 minutes is nearly impossible.

I'm looking forward to a life with 'less' pain. :)
