I completely missed the second half of Chuck yesterday. You see, our downstairs toilet decided it wanted to spontaneously overflow at around 8:30pm, then again around 10pm. It was a nightmare and all around crappy (OH GOD, LITERALLY) situation to deal with, especially given that I'm sick at the moment. Our landlord's downstairs toilet had almost ( Read more... )

Did I miss anything funny at the end?

Did they tell you about Ziva doing air guitar?

She actually did it? Hee! I thought she might, especially after Tony told her she had a choice now to do silly things if she wanted to. I'm going to have to catch the end online, then. Thanks!

Yup! She really did it! No prob! I missed the first five minutes, myself, so I'm gonna have to look for it online, too.

I'm excited for Frost/Nixon because I saw Sheen and Langella do it on Broadway. It's a very good play, although manipulatively written; I think that will be even more evident in the film's direction. I'm only passing familiar with Ron Howard's work, but even that aside, the viewpoints available to any film director ensure a bias unavailable on stage.

But mostly I'll be seeing it for those performances again. Nixon has this awesome speech towards the end, and after Langella ended a guy a few rows behind us whispered loudly, "What an actor!!"

Oh wow, I would have loved to have seen them on stage! I've always had a bit of trouble taking Frank Langella seriously (ever since I saw that remake of The Mark of Zorro ;-)), but he's been awfully good in a number of other roles.

Even if I don't catch Frost/Nixon in theatres, I think I'll definitely check it out on DVD.

The Transporter is gay?

Man, can't someone just leave me a little mancandy to drool over without making a whole thing about it?!

Well, a lot of gals drool over John Barrowman, and he's gay as all get-out. Also, as it's not really reflected on-screen, you can totally ride that river in Egypt, if you like. ;-)

Thank you so much for the Wolverine and Sherlock Holmes photos!

Same here about Ron Howard. It sucks that they didn't let Clooney direct it. :(

I'm sorry about your toilet and the trees trying to steal your water :/

I still haven't seen Transporter 2. I looooooved the first one and I'm so in love with Jason, but I just haven't seen it. I better get on that soon so I can see the third on in the theater.

I know! Didn't that guy ever watch Good Night, and Good Luck? Clooney would have done it justice, I think, especially given how enthusiastic he was about it.

I KNOW. What the heck, TREES?!

And on The Transporter, I didn't expect to like Jason Statham as much as I do. I mean, he's no Gregory Peck, but what he does, he does well.

I totally cracked up when I read the Transporter article. Now I have to watch the first two films again with my slash goggles on and have a jolly ole time.
