I completely missed the second half of Chuck yesterday. You see, our downstairs toilet decided it wanted to spontaneously overflow at around 8:30pm, then again around 10pm. It was a nightmare and all around crappy (OH GOD, LITERALLY) situation to deal with, especially given that I'm sick at the moment. Our landlord's downstairs toilet had almost but not quite overflowed, as well, so we knew it wasn't our fault. The plumbing people came this morning, and it turns out that roots from the nearby trees were trying to grow through our pipes to get to the water and were thus clogging everything.

I also missed the last ten minutes of NCIS, though for different reasons, but my mom did tell me whodunnit. Did I miss anything funny at the end?

Gibbs to Tony and Tim: Would you two like some time along together?
Does Gibbs ship Tony/Tim? ^_^

Oh Lord, Tony called Ziva 'Pocahontas.' I've been called that before by a complete stranger, and I didn't appreciate it. ::rolls eyes::

Bossman's got mad skillz. Yes, he does, Abs. I loved McGee and Abby playing Gibbs Deathmatch.

Also loved Gibbs' little smile at Tony's IKEA joke.

"To Catch a Sucka," LOL!

And now, on to Fringe. Hey, James Frain! You're looking a bit thin. And apparently, you can never win. :-\

"Are you tripping, Agent Dunham?" LOL! "Is he stoned?" LULZ! I don't know why, but I love it when people ask questions like that.

Really loved all the Peter & Walter scenes. They're one of the funniest father/son teams on TV today, IMHO. And something totally happened to Peter when he was a kid, y/y? I've heard some fans thinking this Peter is a clone. That would be kinda sad, but sorta cool.

I like the little bits of info we're getting on Olivia, too, her way with numbers (card counting, hee!) and her lone wolf-ness (Han!). But hey, you can't kidnap Olivia! ::wags finger::

I've been waffling over whether I want to see Frost/Nixon. I love Michael Sheen and Matthew Macfadyen, but though Ron Howard is Good People (my grandmother knows the family, though I've only met his wife), he's not my favorite director. Did you know that George Clooney wanted to direct, but the playwright went with Howard instead?

Lou Letterier, director for the first two Transporter films, says that Jason Statham's character is gay. Even if he's making this up, it actually would explain a lot, such as why Statham has little to no chemistry with any of the leading ladies in these films. And that would make Tarconi his boyfriend, yes?

TV Guide interview with Jimmy Smits about Dexter. Jimmy loves that people are calling Miguel and Dexter's relationship a "bromance."

buttfacemakani has illustrated the Discworld characters from Going Postal.

Guillermo Del Toro is making a stop-animation remake of The Witches.

New promo pictures from Wolverine.

Some pics from the Sherlock Holmes set.

On the possibility of a ROME film. Even if the whole film thing doesn't work out, I can still feel better about one piece of news about one character in particular:

One seeming drawback to revisiting the show after its wrap was the demise of a key lead character, Lucius (Kevin McKidd). Yet Heller reveals that the character's off-camera fate was far from fatal.

"It was very deliberate that we saw him drifting away but didn't see him atop a funeral pyre," Heller said.

That was my rationalization exactly! See, I wasn't riding that river in Egypt for no reason.
