OMG WUT?! UCLA beat Tennessee?! When I first heard Tennessee was going to be in town, I considered getting tickets (I can't help it, I have a fondness for Tennessee the team, the band, and their fight song), but ended up passing because games that start in sunlight at this time of year are uncomfortably hot, and I'll admit I thought it was going to

He seems to be a good actor, though the only thing I've seen him in is "The Insider," which is actually one of my favorite journalism films. My only issue is that I absolutely hate him in interviews and since I love RDJ I'm going to be watching and reading up on the press for the movie and I don't want to be subjected to him. I remember watching Oprah's Oscar special a couple years ago and it went from the completely adorable and entertaining cross-interview between Julia Roberts and George Clooney to the painfully boring and cold interview between Russell and Nicole Kidman. My friend and I were literally cracking up at the contrast between the two.
And Chris Noth - so gorgeous! And so adorable with his son.

At first, I didn't think I liked Russell either, until I took a moment to think of all the films he has done that I enjoyed and was surprised to realize I could easily name seven! I think the thing about Crowe is that he's a real guy's guy and his strongest performances are those where there is a contrasting role by another man. In L.A. Confidential, it was the crackling friction between him and Guy Pearce which eventually turned synergetic. In Master & Commander, the close friendship between him and Paul Bettany anchored the picture. In 3:10 to Yuma, his and Christian Bale's relationship shifted constantly between adversarial and persuasive. So I can't help but be insanely curious about how Crowe and RDJ would work together, if this rumor turns out to be true. ;-)

And after watching "A Good Year" (inspired by your post) I was actually pretty keen on the idea.

Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes? Awesome! I love him so much now; he's so much more visible, and he plays in things I actually want to see. (Only You is also fabulous. :) ) I hope this movie lives up to its potential!
Now, I've never seen Prison Break (don't hurt me -- it's just, how long can a show about breaking out of prison go on?) I'll have to read the intro Michael/Mahone post, because one of them is in a suit and then in prison? Is he under-cover or something? This calls for research, methinks. :) They do seem close, though. Is it actual relationship, or writers taunting us? Sigh. Always taunting, never giving. :D

Yeah, apparently they're going to make Holmes more of a Man of Action, which should be interesting. I'm so glad that since Iron Man, RDJ is getting more high-profile roles. He's always fabulous.
Well, the first season, Michael got purposely sent to prison in order to break his brother (who was framed for a high-profile murder) out. Mahone is introduced in season 2 as the agent sent to retrieve the escapees. Then through convoluted circumstances (which is something of a standard on this show), in the third season, Michael and Mahone are both stuck in a prison in Panama. And now we've started season four, which I believe will have something of a break-in, and all the good guys (and the sort-of-good-guys) are working to bring down the sinister Company that framed Michael's brother, among other sinister things ( ... )
