While I'm collecting together a set of SG recs that I've read recently, this vid prodded me to make a rec to the comm. bri's Wake Me Up Inside is a Jack/Daniel friendship vid that is moulded to the music and contains effects I've never even seen before. The emotion smacks right between the eyes, too.

Those people who like Jack/Daniel probably know Keiko Kirin best for her 'Steak' series, but she also has a number of excellent other stories which are well worth a read (not to mention some stunning fic in other fandoms). Here are three of my favourites, in no particular order:

The Geeks and Goons series by Koschka - this whole series of 8 stories (beginning with "Scientist, Wraith Killer, Space Pilot," and concluding -- for now -- with "A Geek in the Grass") is heavily H/C, and thoroughly enjoyable. Baileys 7 by Arduinna - while exploring off-world, Rodney is attacked by... well, let's just say that fans of Monty Python will feel right at home. It's actually a lovely little fic with solid characterization and great McKay/Sheppard pre-slash interaction, and -- no surprise, given the author -- excellent writing.
