GOALS FOR 2016

01. Health
A. Get back on track with weight loss. I'm not going to set a goal weight at the moment, nor am I going to set a workout goal. Basically at this point my goal is to get back into the right mindset to start -- because without that, it is doomed to failure. So the goal is essentially to update this goal at the 3 ( Read more... )

I love your money jar idea. I think I'm going to try that. I don't use cash too much, but even if I get an extra $20 at the end of the year to buy a fancy bottle of champagne for New Year's Eve that will be worth it.

I am old school and still use cash for everything. I'm heading over to the dollar store to buy my new Money Jar tomorrow. :D

We are in the same boat! I'll be 49 in two months and also need to lose about eighty pounds. I'd previously lost 50 but gained it allll back. Stress is totally my downfall. I just need to psyche myself up to where I'm reading to get back on that exercise bike and start eating healthily again.

I've heard about that penny plan, but I don't think I could commit to something daily.

Good luck to you in your goals! If you post about your progress I'll be there to cheer you on. :)

I love your goals!
I might need to set some for myself because I feel like I'm doing nothing.

I work really well with To Do lists and goals that have time limits. The key is breaking them down into mini-goals that get you toward the end -- then you feel a great sense of accomplishment as you achieve each step. You should definitely think on it!

Super-duper, inspiring goals.

Movies: I so agree with you. I have movies I love and rewatch more than once...some of them are due for a rewatch right now...and there are always new movies that need to be seen more than once. (Star Wars: The Force Awakens [ahem]) As you know, I am shameless about counting a movie whenever I watch it.

Books: I have 21 books in my TBR pile. I'm committing to reading at least 12 of them, hopefully more.

Memory Jar!!! Yes! I didn't keep up with mine in either 2014 or 2015, but I'll try again this year. Thank you for the reminder. FanSee

Awww, thanks! Good luck on your own goals. I always enjoy reading your progress reports and movie/book reviews, even if sometimes I can't manage to comment on them. Looking forward to more of that in 2016!
