GOALS FOR 2016

01. Health
A. Get back on track with weight loss. I'm not going to set a goal weight at the moment, nor am I going to set a workout goal. Basically at this point my goal is to get back into the right mindset to start -- because without that, it is doomed to failure. So the goal is essentially to update this goal at the 3 ( Read more... )

These are great goals!

I myself have sworn I will lose weight this year. I don't feel good, and I have now been diagnosed with high blood pressure. I'm almost 53, need to lose around 80 pounds, and I'm dealing with a mother with Alzheimer's. Lots of stress. The doctor has given me 3 months to get my pressure down with diet & exercise, or I'm going on medication. THAT I don't want.

So I have rededicated myself to following my Weight Watchers plan (which has been revamped for the better for 2016!). I also bought a FitBit (which integrates with the Weight Watchers app too!), and I'm going to do it!

For your money goal, I read about a "jar plan" -- on day 1, you put in a penny, day 2, 2 pennies, day 3, 3 pennies. You add 1 penny each day, and at the end of the year you have something like $675 dollars! here's the link: http://math.stackexchange.com/questions/1600872/whats-the-formula-for-the-365-day-penny-challenge

Here's to us both achieving our goals, and Happy New Year!

We are in the same boat! I'll be 49 in two months and also need to lose about eighty pounds. I'd previously lost 50 but gained it allll back. Stress is totally my downfall. I just need to psyche myself up to where I'm reading to get back on that exercise bike and start eating healthily again.

I've heard about that penny plan, but I don't think I could commit to something daily.

Good luck to you in your goals! If you post about your progress I'll be there to cheer you on. :)
