My car stopped shifting on Saturday, the odometer and the spedometer were also not working right and the "check engine" light went on. So we dropped it off at a mechanic on Sunday. Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life. Friday, the twenty year old cat that I nursed with a bottle as a kitten passed away. My 11 year old Aspie daughter found him dead in her bed Thursday morning. And this was after thinking he was getting better (he had some dental problems and didn't want to eat, but they were solved). Well the "blizzard" they forecast didn't bring nearly the 15 inches they predicted, but it has still managed to keep up housebound.  There was still a good layer of snow on the ground from last week, then about a half inch of ice and ice pellets on Tuesday and Tuesday night brought about another 2 or 3 inches of snow on top of that.  I brought home ( Read more... )
