Adagio's telling the census-taker he was born in 1714, the general area he was born (in his Italy-esque home country), and what city he thinks his birthplace has since been absorbed into. ...and he's telling this for what is probably the 1930 census, which would make him 216 years old (Mr. Ace, on the other hand, has probably lied himself into the same generation as the men he served in the war with).
Ha ha, I'm glad someone else enjoyed that. Yes, more or less- there are always seven (mostly-)immortal members of their group at once. Adagio is the oldest one around at the time of the story, when he is 214 and the Ace is 107.
