9 - heat wave
These weather changes are quite irritating. The heat has made everything sticky and any non-perishable food is impossible to preserve. I didn't think it was possible, but the water has become even sludgier than normal. Perhaps the increase in temperature has spurred the growth of bacteria and mold and what-have-yous in the pipes? So the masquerade begins. I hear that there are large amounts of free food...which is quite enticing when one considers the state of my larder. Even if I'm not particularly interested, my stomach is being quite insistent....

Entirely ridiculous. I commend them on their attempts to provide a light-hearted activity, but still: entirely ridiculous. Especially in light of the fact that there are two giant monsters still moving about -- do they ever tire? 6 - remembering
It's Raido's birthday today.
I remembered because I was going through my pockets and there was a crumpled slip of paper with a messy scribble: "Get him that new set of kunai. Memije's."
How could I have forgotten? It's been three weeks and this is the first time that I've thought of the people back home. Is this place erasing my memory?

5 - the floods recede
The water has disappeared.
It stopped raining a couple of days ago, but the floods stayed on. I supposed that was because the drains were clogged or something, which made sense. In a run-down city like this, you'd expect debris.
Today the entire area is bone dry. I checked for water marks - there were none, and there definitely should have been. Hell ( Read more... ) -
4 - the rain
This rain has been going on for three days now. At least it's not slushy. No risk for dehydration, now...
I'm fairly well off in terms of flooding - the water hasn't gotten to my level yet - but this creates much trouble in terms of searching for food. The dampness does not help, either.
This does create resources for water jutsu.

The sudden appearance of these creatures, out of nowhere...This doesn't bode well for the future. Not if it's anything like what happened to us...
