Atlanta is muggy. But I would rather go to Atlanta than China. China offends me. Did you see that they little girl they brought in to sing was actually lip syncing to another little girl who they refused to publically show - because she isnt PRETTY enough? What child under ten is NOT pretty. wtf, china, you could not pay me to go to china. i would rather go to walmart because I can leave sooner.

Even though you may have been at COP at a point there was a crowd (and I know they had some concerts and such that did draw), on the whole the games never pulled the numbers that the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and the IOC predicted. This was a huge financial hit for restaurants and souvenir businesses that bet big on a huge influx of tourist money that never materialized.

Yup you were right, I remember the huge hype beforehand about people making a forunte renting their homes etc to olympic visitors and people supposedly flocking to the olympic village in order to buy buy buy that just didn't happen. I was right by there when that bomb went off, it was pretty insane. Never seen more guns materialize in more people's hands so fast and wow they were serious about clearing the streets. It turned into almost an orderly stampede controlled by screaming dudes with mini-smgs. Surreal.

yeah i was coming back into town that summer and had a lot of trouble renting a place because they were gonna get SO RICH off of renting their places for 2 weeks. ummmmmmmmmmm.
