Our semester project for my Design and Tech class is to create CD packaging, either for music or software. The directions are a bit vague on purpose, I think - we can either profile a real-life client, or create one. Last night's menu was Linguine with Scallops in Garlic Butter Besciamella, and it turned out great. The scallops cooked to the point of being a bit brown on the edges, and were so tender - I could just eat a big plate of those, to be honest. It's been a slow week for freelancing, with only two projects to work on, but I've been able to keep busy with my own stuff. The comps for my business website are getting there, although I still have to dig through all my photos for  more black and whites to use. It seems our landlush likes us for some reason. He officially told me this morning that he's putting the place on the market (yesterduh), but he said that for a $50/mo increase in rent, he'd sign us for a year's lease to protect us for another year. ClassToday is the official last day of class for Digital Illustration, sadly. I've enjoyed the class, and produced some decent pieces I think. AIO had a teccup with the servers Wednesday and Thursday resulting in some lost files. He missed Monday's deadline, and chances are will miss tomorrow's as well, so I emailed my instructor about it. Dad's birthday is in a few days, and here I sit without a clue as to what to get him. His leg surgery went fine from what Mom told me, but he can't be active for a few weeks as the veins and tissue heal. I'll admit that some of our assignments in my AIO classes are a bit on the lame side. As much as the life-sized vending machine project from my Elements of Design class eventually worked out, it was still more than its share of lame.
