Minako made her way over to the bummed looking girl. She set down a cup of cider in front of her and took the seat next to her. "Hey," she said quietly, trying to smile.

"How are you doing?" Minako knew that look... even if it was only recently that she had people she worried about leaving behind.

"I'll be honest... I'm not really good at this," Minako sighed, glancing back at her own drink for a moment. "But I want to be there for you if you need me. You were there for me.. I'd like to return the favor..."

She smiled slightly when Clare mentioned that she was getting better at self defense... And blushed as she almost mentioned Halloween... Clearing her throat a little, she smiled again. "I'm glad you've been learning more. If you'd like, I can help a little with that... Or something?"

Minako showed up in a plain black dress with an orange cardigan over it. She didn't really know what to bring to this... She hadn't ever celebrated Thanksgiving. So she brought a jug of apple cider and set it down on the table before going and standing awkwardly to the side.

But not for long. Jennifer had come out of the kitchen with a stack of clean plates, an apron around her hips as she set the warm plates down and took the top one, handing it to the closest person, which happened to be a girl who could not have been any more than eighteen.

"Here you go." Jennifer said with a smile. "Sorry they took so long, we have a limited number of plates."

Minako blinked a little, then smiled. "Oh... Oh, don't worry about it. I'm just a little overwhelmed, that's all..."

She pushed her hair behind her ear and moved out of way so the lady could set the plates down, and accepted the one handed to her.

Jennifer smiled at her again. "Overwhelmed? No need for that. Let's do something to alieveate that. My name is Jennifer. And you're going to definitely want some of those apple pies on the end. They are wonderful."

"Oh come on, there are a lot of cool people here. Most of them are very nice to look at," Knives was speaking from experience, a fair share of the guys she's met were pleasing to the eyes. She didn't get what had Juliet so against this. She was a bit of a health nut but this was THANKSGIVING, you eat a lot at it. It's tradition, even if they are celebrating it on entirely the wrong date.

Still, food is food, you don't complain especially when you don't have to cook.

"Nothing bad will happen!" As soon as Knives got in she started looking around, then made a b-line for the turkey. Complete with a Wooosh written in the wake of her running. Anyone that looks over at her will be greeted with her standard Boss Box. Knives Chau: Seventeen Years Old.

Juliet had every intention of spending her day locked in her room. At night, she may have wandered around... But the day was not for wandering... And it definitely wasn't for being dragged out into the sun (thank goodness it was a cloudy day!) and to the one hotel she swore never to step foot into.

She'd been protesting the whole way... But Knives wouldn't hear it. Still, she was dragged the room of the hotel and she had to wonder... Were the wards like sirens? If so, would she hear them? Or would only one person hear them.

"Knives," she murmured, watching the girl run towards the turkey. Bouncing in place, she anxiously looked around.

Knives looked back from gathering food to see Juliet... staying in one place looking around. It wasn't the curious look at all the stuff looking around either, it was the Scott waiting for the next Evil Ex to attack him looking around. Juliet seemed kinda outgoing when they met, a bit wholesome but... teenage. Why was she acting so... uncool about all this.

Knives made her way back to the girl and shot her a look, "What's the matter?"

Nothing was happening. Maybe there weren't any magical wards... Maybe everyone just said there were to keep vampires and such out? She smoothed out her skirt a little and shoved her hands in the pockets of her cardigan. She could try and eat something... try to blend in better.

And Knives was on her way back over. She smiled slightly, trying to make it believable. "Oh, sorry.. I just... A lot of people. I get a little weirded out in situations like this..."

It was a terrible lie. She'd be surprised if Knives actually fell for it... But she had to try. Anything was better than outright telling people what she was.

The spirit of the holiday wasn't exactly with Derek, but he arrived anyways mostly as a way to support the altruistic idea Charity had done. Derek came dressed in his usual suit and shades, not really bothering to figure out what he should wear to something like this. (He tended to dress really causal when not in a suit.) He didn't bring anything because it he didn't trust himself to make anything for Thanksgiving and would rather stay out of the way of people who knew what they were doing.

It was quite amazing to see everything that had been made and brought. Derek had a lot of dish washing ahead of him once this was all over... barring a power outage and wild hunt or something. For now, he stayed against the wall and listened to the festivities.

Justine was a little late, even if she was staying in this hotel by now. Late, but she stepped inside the room filled with the buzz of conversations with her usual grace.

She had been outside, her cheeks a little pink from the chill; but the bowl in her hands was warm enough. She'd brought corn on the cob; it always seemed somewhat appropriate for Thanksgiving, even if it was technically out of season. But she knew a few places that made it even in the winter - or had known, she'd had a few false tries before she found a location that was still working in this version of Chicago. Which was why she was late.

Leaving her offering on the long table and opening the lid, she turned and leaned against the edge of the table for a moment, the smile firmly on her face and dark eyes looking around the Barbershop.

Winry sipped at mulled cider, enjoying the homey flavor, watching as a latecomer set corn on the table. Not recognizing the young woman, Winry moved around the table, smiling. "Hi. I don't think we've met yet. I'm Winry Rockbell."

She turned to the blonde, an easy smile automatically on her lips. "Hello. No, I don't believe we have." A quick moment to make sure... well, White Court were basically easy to recognize, by now, and she extended her had. "My name is Justine, pleased to meet you. And," smile widening a little more. "Happy Thanksgiving."

"Happy Thanksgiving!" She took Justine's hand, giving it a light squeeze. "I'm Winry." Giving her a little salute with her cider, Winry said, "I'm not really sure about Thanksgiving. We don't have a holiday like this where I'm from. Is it really like a harvest festival?"
