I did something similar (although more overt and helpful) with the most boring movie in all the world, The Watcher in the Woods. I left a sticky note on the back, begging myself to never watch it again or lend it to anyone (to save them the horrific boredom). One day I thought to myself, "It couldn't have really been that bad, could it?" and I opened the DVD case, only to find a second sticky note on the DVD itself that said "Yes, it really is that bad."
