Grindhouse: The Whoring

Paul says Planet Terror is by far the best of the two, and Deathproof was really really really slow and annoying.

We rented Deathproof at mrs_clubber's behest. It was indeed quiet slow-paced, but I wouldn't have called it annoying. A lot of time spent in dialogue, which Tarantino is pretty good at, but not at all what one is expecting for a movie like "Deathproof".

In other Boo-You-Whores news, according to Blockbuster Guy (who is usually pretty up on these things), Miramax has no plans to release Grindhouse as a combined feature as it appeared in the theatres. This has pissed off Tarantino so much (because he feels, as I do, that releasing them separately ruins the whole "Grindhouse" experience that was the point of the theatrical release in the first place) that neither film is getting the fake trailers, etc. Yay, Miramax.

I expect that somewhere down the line, they will release a "Theatrical Version", but likely not for some time.

Whores.
