Grindhouse: The Whoring
I've been looking forward to Grindhouse coming out on DVD in time for this year's Schocktoberfest. I didn't get around to seeing it in the theatres, but it looked like just the sort of thing for our annual Schlock soiree.
I'm dismayed to see that the two movies are being released as independent DVDs, with Deathproof out today and Planet Terror being released at a later date. To me, this defeats the whole "double feature" nature/purpose of the original release. And which DVD will get the fake previews? The intermission bit? Both? Neither?
I'm sure that somewhere down the line a "Theatrical Release" version will come out, with the two films strung together as they were in the theatre, but for now, there's money to be squeezed!
