okay i’m sure it was fully intentional but i totally didn’t realize that kyungsoo was blind till the part where he needs junmyeon to read his fanmail to him and i was like PHWOAH HOLD UP WTF so i had to go reread it from the top so that i could go “WELL DUH HOW COULD I NOT HAVE SEEN THIS COMING!!!!?!?!” but yes brilliant foreshadowing on your part /slowclaps

HOW COULD YOU MAKE YIFAN HIS MUSE LIKE JUST HAVING YIFAN PHYSICALLY THERE AND WORDS FLY FROM KYUNGSOO'S FINGERS?????!?!?!?!???!?? WHAT IS THIS BLACK MAGIC YOU SPEAK OF??!???!!??!!!!? fuck i can't deal with the image i love it when couples do shit like this like they don't even need to talk to each other or do the same thing together but somehow being in the same room being in the presence of each other helps them unwind and be like happpy??? I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE

and also (now that you know i’m commenting on this quite a while after i read it :x) i read a few kyungsoo fics after i finished reading yours and for split seconds after kyungsoo did or said or saw something i was like, “WTF ISNT HE SUPPOSED TO BE BLIND???!!?!?!” then my brain catches up and i’m all “oh oops different fic mY BAD” - that’s it that’s all i wanted to tell you this is where my anecdote ends; there’s no point to it.

oh my gosh this was so fluffy and cute, and yifan was just a big bumbling kid fangirling over his favorite author and drawing him foam art and moving big boxes for him and cooking him dinner. even when it was sad, i was full of hope like “guess who’s about to walk in and make you remember what HAPPINESS feels like!!” yifan in this is probably my favorite thing because he’s so young and pushy and handsome and innocent and kyungsoo is this grouchy old man (I mean not old but like…you know) who has a good reason to be cynical and withdrawn but then yifan stumbles in and accidentally helps him find the thing that makes him happy again. i’m so glad that kyungsoo was able to accept yifan as something new and different and good, despite all of the similarities to zitao. and all of the unnecessary touching-i’m looking at you, yifan-A+++++. thank you for writing and sharing!!

PS I didn’t catch your death cab reference until the end when you mentioned it, but that explains why it was stuck in my head as I was reading :P
