i guess yifan did have a crush... okay yes definitely lol he was enraptured by kyungsoo the first time he saw him in the bookstore and curious about his condition. he knew something was up and wanted to help in whatever way he could. he could also sense that kyungsoo was lonely and was still suffering from the accident. he knew ksoo had gotten into an accident and that's why he wasn't writing anymore but he didn't know the details (that he went blind, that his boyfriend died etc). he felt compelled to take care of him and treat him how he deserved to be treated, like a prince lol
