Friends! Romans! Countrymen! Lend me your eyes! And vid questions!

The Vid-Commentary comm on LJ is doing an interview series and I was one of the lucky random vidders selected. (Thank you to whoever suggested me. I feel very out of touch with the vidding community given how very sharply my output has dropped over the last couple of years, so I appreciate even being asked.) I am in a group with four other amazing vidders, ( Read more... )

It's so validating to see that someone else thought Glee lost more than it gained as the first season wore on. I, too, probably would have walked away from the show after its return from hiatus, but my girlfriend continued to watch. I really don't know if even she will bother with it next year, though.

This is my ultimate disappointment show, though, because it started out so brilliantly and then swirled down into something I was SO upset and angry with by the end.

You know, I never finished BSG - I think I walked away with four episodes left. Although part of me would have liked some closure, more of me wanted to still have some good feeling about the show (I'd been feeling less and less kindly towards it since 2.5 started). It makes me sad to see it listed here as one of your biggest disappointments, because I definitely remember how high it had you at times. It's kind of funny; I used to think there was nothing worse than a network pulling the plug on a show too soon, but the more I watch television, the more I think I'd much ( ... )

I just couldn't spend any more of my dwindling free time on something that was making me so unhappy, y'know? I feel better having let it go. Hopefully you'll get to do the same! Heh.

the more I think I'd much rather lose a show too early

YES. I find myself saying all the time now that all I really want are two good seasons. Anything more is gravy, and anything more than four feels excessive. Heh.

I quick Glee, then came back to it, but the finale filled me with rage (and still does when I think about it) so, again, I quit. And unless I read awesome reviews in which it is stated that everything wrong with the series has been fixed, I'm done this time. Ultimately, I think there is a joyous veneer, but beneath that it's a very ugly show.

Yeah IDK why I can't seem to look past its faults, when I have done that with other shows. It just...I want it to be more!

I have vid ideas I still sort of want to make. Non-bitter ones, even!
Really? Well, someday you'll make them maybe!

I genuinely hope so - I have a Roslin one I love and a Kara one that's sort of a thematic sequel to 'Cold Cold Water' that I've been pondering over for a couple of years.
