Well I made it past the first interview. It lasted about an hour, and this guy would not shut up. I couldn't get a word in edgewise; I still have a bunch of questions to ask. I guess I'll get them answered on Friday during the face to face interview.

Finally some progress on the job search! Wednesday will be 11 months since I was laid off, and I've had only one interview in all that time. But today I got scheduled for an interview on Wednesday. If I get the job I'll be an admissions advisor for a regional university. I can't wait for the interview

I got my first furry commission today! I was #1 on JD_Puppy's 100 sketch challege; I sent my request in first :) Its super cute and I think it turned out awesome. Check it out here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3265564 . If I have the money next week I may have him do another.

I was going though some folder of pics on my computer today and found a few sunrise pictures that I took this summer. They turned out pretty good considering I was using a point and shoot digital camera. I'll be adding them to my gallery shortly.

I was bored yesterday, and I haven't used my SLR camera in a while, so I went out to Black Point Wildlife Drive in Titusville to take some pictures. It's pretty cold here in FL right now so I figured that I could get some pictures of some winter birds. I haven't used my camera in a while. It's a Nikon N-70 with a Tamron 28-105mm lense. Well, I played some poker tonight with some of the guys. I was the big winner tonight! We played for a couple of hours; mostly 5 card stud, but also some 7 card no-peek. There were about 5-6 playing most of the time. I was the big winner tonight, $6 in quarters, dimes and nickels! Well, I made it though another year. Not the worst I've ever had, but it was bad enough. I know 2010 will be a better year for sure; come hell or high water.

2009 Highlights:
February 27: Layed off :(     
December 31: Found $50 in the street while doing my evening walk 12/31/09 :) So I guess at the very least the year ended on a good note.

Went fishing with my brother today. We headed out to Port Canaveral around 1000am and got there in time for lunch. We ate at "Grills Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar." I had a cup of Bahamian Fish Chowder, which was excellent; I would definitely recommend it. I also had a cheese steak which was borderline awful; I wound not recommend it ( Read more... )
