1) Tuesday: GOT MY GRADES BACK. They were disastrous, as predicted. At this rate, I'll consider it a damned miracle if an employer decides to hire me. Most days this is incredibly depressing and I've shed more than my fair share of tears over my situation. At the moment, I refuse to dwell on it because there are really only so many fucks I can give

my favourite male character: John Sheppard, another an easy answer. I love John the way I used to love Daniel, with a kind of obsessive, protective adoration, though now that I'm older, my John-love is a bit more cynical than my old Daniel-love. :)
my favourite book/season/etc: Season 4, because it has my favourite ensemble and some of my very favourite episodes.
my favourite episode (if it's a tv show): "The Outcast". I'm not claiming it's the best Stargate episode ever written, but it's John and Ronon on Earth, wearing jeans, talking about (around) personal issues, and John's backstory. Automatic favourite!
my favourite cast member: Joe Flanigan, though Jason is up there too.
my favourite ship: John/Ronon, though I was a die-hard John/Teyla shipper in Season 1 and early Season 2.
a character I'd die defending: John, obviously, but also Ronon and ( ... )

my favourite male character: ANOTHER TOUGH ONE. In the end it has to be Bruce, because without him the whole franchise would never have come into existence, nor held together as long as it did. Kevin Conroy is my One True Batman.
my favourite book/season/etc: JL Season 2, even though I adore certain JLU episodes (Green Arrow & Supergirl, especially). But JL S2 wins for having the most well-written episodes.
my favourite episode (if it's a tv show): "Star-crossed", forever and ever, amen!
my favourite cast member: I don't really think about the actors much. I don't really know anything about them, unlike my live-action fandoms.
my favourite ship: I was about to say Superman/Batman, but I really ship them more in the comics. I really do like GL/Hawkgirl in canon, but don't read fic about them the way I do GL/Flash or Batman/Flash. So, probably one of those ( ... )

my favourite female character: Unlike other fandoms, this is an easy one: Natasha is definitely my favourite. I love Jane and Darcy too, and enjoy Pepper, Maria, Sif, etc., but Natasha hits all my fannish buttons. :D
my favourite male character: TONY STARK. I love Steve and Bruce too, of course, but Tony has my heart. ♥♥
my favourite book/season/etc: AVENGERS. I am really, really, excessively fond of Thor because of the awesome ladies and Chris Hemsworth actually being a pretty amazing actor (yeah, and Hiddleston too) and I adore Iron Man because it's just a really well-written story and RDJ knocks it out of the park. But I could re-watch The Avengers like a zillion times and not be bored. The Bruce/Tony coming out of nowhere and just working beautifully is a special treat. :D
my favourite episode (if it's a tv show): I'll pick a scene from an MCU movie: Hulk catching a falling Iron Man. I mean, we were totally spoiled by the trailer, and yet everyone was holding their breaths and when the Hulk leaped out of nowhere ( ... )

my favourite male character: Harry, probably. I like his imperfections, and his heroism. I love Remus and Sirius too, but probably my headcanon and fanfic versions of them more so than the book versions. Snape is a close second, mostly because he's this incredibly conflicted character, at once an unlovely, unloveable selfish bastard, and a grieving, damaged, selfless hero. He's not *easy*, that's for sure.
my favourite book/season/etc.: Hmm. Probably Book 7, because I love the metaphysics and the long dark shadow of inevitable fate, and the grief and death and forgiveness and acceptance. But I'll also give a nod to Book 3 for giving us lots of Marauders backstory. :)
my favourite episode (if it's a tv show): I'll give you my favourite movie instead, which is Prisoner of Azkaban, because dammit, I ship Remus/Sirius and I liked Harry + teacher!Remus.

Too bad you didn't like Book of Mormon, but it was very South Park and that's definitely not for everyone. It certainly was problematic with race but I thought they dealt with issues of faith quite well (did you get any actual Mormons working the crowd outside the theatre? The ads they took out in the program were a great illustration of the can't beat 'em join 'em philosophy). What impressed me the most was how much the creators clearly loved musicals, with the old school dance numbers and the songs. I also was a bit tickled by how much they made fun of the Lion King, when a quick glance at the program showed that most of the cast had been in it at one time or another.

I liked parts of Book of Mormon, but you're right that it was very South Park. I saw a Mormon outside! And the ads were kind of awesome--they just kept right on trucking, never mind the musical dedicated to mocking them. Hey, free advertising is free advertising, right? I don't think the musical could have really damaged their reputation--either you know about or believe in Mormonism, in which case you wouldn't put much credence in the musical as a faithful representation, or you knew nothing about Mormonism and have learned one or two new facts about the religion. (Like, now I know there's a guy named Maroni! This is something I never knew before.)
They put a lot more effort into getting the Mormonism right than getting Uganda right, that's for sure. I didn't know that about the Lion King cast, though! Very meta!
