What I've been up to // MEME
1) Tuesday: GOT MY GRADES BACK. They were disastrous, as predicted. At this rate, I'll consider it a damned miracle if an employer decides to hire me. Most days this is incredibly depressing and I've shed more than my fair share of tears over my situation. At the moment, I refuse to dwell on it because there are really only so many fucks I can give.
2) Friday: Went to see The Book of Mormon with sister, bro-in-law, and sister's friend. Opening number was fantastic, the closing number was a hilarious reprise of that opening number, the bulk of the middle was alternately crude, funny, crude and funny, blasphemous, trying hard to hang a lampshade on the fact that the whole premise of the musical was pretty goddamn racist, and still inadvertently racist despite all that. I liked some of it, laughed at most of it, but didn't really... feel it. Not really my kind of humour.
3) Saturday: Went to a co-worker's goodbye shindig. She's moving back to Vancouver now that she's finished her master's, so we had a small, celebratory outing to Snakes & Lattes, which is a coffee shop/pub/hangout where geeks can play boardgames. Afterwards we had Thai food and drinks. It was nice to see another former co-worker who I hadn't seen since exams were finished. We mostly talked about stress from school and job hunting, but at least we did it over cocktails. :)
