Blondes have more fun, they say

Found an interesting article about why guys like blondes (also The Blonde Wars), which also talks about skin colour in relation to blonde hair:
The reason women were traditionally called "the fair sex" is because, all else being equal, they really are fairer. "Although about only a tenth of the difference separating blacks from whites, there does ( Read more... )

I so need to find myself a curvy woman icon. The bit that I most reacted to in this whole post was your "I'm a [...] way too curvy girl" 'cause that totally triggers my whole "What you mean too curvy?" fat-positive etc.

I'm so, so sorry for not getting around to replying to this comment until now! Just wanted to answer your last question about Het!Yay.

They're complex -- loyal and ( ... )

I work in a male-dominated job, and when I leave my hair alone, and it is just naturally curly and blonde, I get treated more like I should fit into stereotypical weaker female roles. (For example, I get questioned more about my knowledge of windshield repair or my ability to carry around large pieces of glass.) When I have darker hair, or when I put strange colors in it, the questions taper off some, and this goes double when it is summer and my skin is darker as well ( ... )
