I have been waiting for Prometheus for over 30 years.

My oldest brother was often charged with babysitting my brother Tony and I which included, among other inappropriate adventures, the occasional R-rated movie. I still don't get why the "Engineer" at the start of the movie drinks the black bubbly liquid. Did he know he was going to be ripped to shreds? Or was it a surprise ( ... )

Thanks, I found this fascinating. I didn't mind spoilers because, at the risk of "alien"-ating one of my favorite people, I have never seen any Alien movies. I wasn't even too young and of course I remember the hoopla.

I'm just not interested in subjecting myself to the gore, but I have trouble explaining to Zork (who loves horror as you know), that it doesn't mean I'm not curious about the stories and discussion of the themes and plots.

So I am very interested in hearing about your obsession with the movies, your review and the plot/moral outlines you discussed.

Fascinating, though very dark and unsettling. I have trouble shaking things like that off, which is why your blog is more my speed than the actual movies. Even this will stick with me...
