I have been very grumpy this year and last about the lack of timely updates. I haven't checked today but it seems like the website never is at all. That's actually why I went on Live Journal last year--to get info because I was pining to be in Charlotte and Zork WAS NOT checking in (having too much fun without me).

Bill M. was my stats savior last year, as he was again last night.

This year Zork's excuse is phone calls would be too costly, so we haven't even talked (and maybe he's bummed about the rankings--I hope not, but on the other hand--Jamie is our feature this week, so he's probably jumping for joy about that). Of course his answer to my crankiness is that I should get my butt to Vancouver by tonight.

Anyway, Thanks mucho for being awake and posting this, but I will warn you I plan to start a moms' petition that IWPS should be during President's Day school vacation week, so I can go. I told Zork next year I will challenge him for the spot!

I'm not there either, but the PSI forums had it all up this morning.
Next time we'll have to plan it on a week when it ISN'T my anniversary.

It was just ours, too (2 years).

Oh--the FORUMS. I never thought of checking there. I just kept looking at the IWPS page, and waiting for javabill to post it here. John Powers also pointed out that he had it on GotPoetry, whichI also should have thought of.

Anyway, if this weekend is your anniversary, maybe you will be on my side to switch IWPS to Presidents week. It can't hurt to have THE president on my side. Mothers and teachers will love you, but kids might hate you if they have to spend their vacations at IWPS instead of Disney World.

I just took in Nicole way up there on the list! She is a sweet kid from Urbana and we have had a few interesting conversations this year about how less women were slamming lately (at least around there). She's been slamming at BCP regularly for quite a while and I think she beat Shappy by fractions of a point to get the slot and was very modest about coming out to slam will all the big fish.

She doesn't have to feel so humble any more! If you see her today, give her a hug for me.

Pretty dopey of me not to think to look there. I'm sure Zork's disppointment over his own rank is greatly mitigated by the fact that Jamie is our feature at the White Plains Slam this week!
