I participated in the iWPS Grand Slam Wednesday night. After a couple of months of preliminary slams, this was the big night to pick our rep.

Let me start off by saying that I didn't win. I came close: I rocked two time penalties (one of them 1.5!) and missed 1st place. The super-excited Chauncey RARE Beaty won, and will be repping Writers' Block ( Read more... )

Still on the road, but certainly worth mentioning since it's about my city:

Ed Mabrey, coordinator for IWPS 2008, is moving out of state.  PSI's Executive Council voted to relieve him of hosting responsibilities for IWPS 2008 in October in Columbus, Ohio.  We deemed it not in the interest of the event to have the primary organizer states away.

I haven't received word through official channels yet, but it would appear that the winner of the 2007 iWPS is the Writers' Block representative, Ed Mabrey.
