So, today Google and Sun announced a partnership involving the Java Runtime Environment and OpenOffice. New hire Vint Cerf was there. So my aunt was there too (sitting next to the "big man"). This picture was taken at the announcement this morning in Mountain View.

I'm very proud that my alma mater puts its money where its mouth is. The University of Michigan School of Information has provided a virtual directory of housing listings for the people displaced by hurricane Katrina and tools to allow the rest of us to open our homes.
