You can't eat them.

I absolutely refuse to allow it on any... level! At any time!

I--

Do you know how many rabbits I adopted to save them from you?! There's... a least four or... nine...ty. There's a lot of them! Rabbits all over the place!

And they're in Headquarters? That makes it a lot easier.

They're in my room, which you aren't allowed to trespass in because... I said so, and because Nill is there, and you can't kill a rabbit in front of a little girl.

You can't eat the wee bunnies and ducklings Arthur!

They're not that wee, there's at least three square meals in that rabbit.

Oh, I see wee has a different standard in your time.

[ You're going the right way for a smacked bottom Arthur and Tonks will do it too! ]

you cannot eat them ! they are only baby ducks .

[See, they're quite lovable, you see. And fluffy. And lovable, fluffy things have a way of worming into a girls heart.]

Nonsense, I'd never eat a baby animal.

That wouldn't have any good meat on it at all.

Agreed.

[ Not really. More of a vegetables and fish kind of guy, but the point is... ]

Are you perhaps searching for a duck?

I forbid it.

[ she is ok with duck eating when it isn't a duck that thought she was mommy and is a brother or sister of her own pet duck. just, like, ftr. ]

[ YOU DIDN'T EVEN WANT IT, THEN, SHIRLEY. what a change of heart. ]

Arthur. That's not right!

Especially the deer. It's not the most delicious. Haven't you ever had baby rabbit stewed in wine?

Reply

supercilious September 11 2011, 11:32:32 UTC
Actually, yes. But I'm afraid rare venison steak with horseradishes trumps it entirely.

Psh. Too gamy.

I don't like venison much. It's so much hassle to kill and skin a deer, and then butchering...? No, thanks. Bunnies are much easier. Just hold them just right, a sharp tug and twist, and suddenly, dinner.
