003. [Video]

You know... for all the complaints about it, I must say that lust can be quite lovely, really. After all, lust is only a strong desire. The urge to taste something, or to hold it. To touch it.

[At this point, video flickers on. Roxanne appears, at the moment, to be lounging on a rather fluffy set of red blankets and pillows, wearing the basic ( Read more... )

[Hearing her name so many times in this context? Glorious.]

Desires keep us human?

[...hmmm. She is thinking on this, now.]

More people should think like you. Get over it and just give in? It's got a nice ring to it.

[ Especially if your name is Scar. No, she is not bitter at all. :l ]

I'd be more than happy to fight you. I could use a fight.

Of course! What else could it be? [Shine!] To want something requires thought, and drive, and motivation... it requires us to feel in ways no one else does.

Without that, how can be be anything other than automations?

[She smiles, and taps her finger against the side of her face.]

But yes! Fighting does sound lovely. Are you given to arena antics?

[Hey, Amestrian idiots. Are you hearing any of this? She hopes you are.]

I'm not sure we can, but you've renewed my faith in humanity~

[Oh, was that kind of a pun?]

I've fought my first public match very recently. It's a little addictive, I admit.

I am, of course, glad to be so helpful!

[SHINE.]

The rush of battle is quite addictive, in itself. All right, then. Consider your offer accepted.

[Currently she is hunting a certain violet haired person, who has so far managed to elude her by teleporting. It's annoying.]

I would welcome a spar.

[ And the opportunity to push herself, especially after this past week :l ]

Perhaps after this hunt concludes.

Oh, are you hunting?

Is that something you need assistance with?

Yes.

[To all the things, however reluctantly.]

The prey is a former comrade, of sorts. [Which is. Probably not an unfamiliar concept to you at all.]

Oh? The cutting down of a former comrade is always such a nasty affair.

[...not really.]

I spend a fair amount of time in Dismas, and it
just so happens that I'm no stranger to the Arena. If
you're looking for someone to match up against, I'd
be more than willing to take you on.
No harm done by a little friendly competition, right?

[Friendly competition? What's that? Still, she smiles and leans closer to the screen.]

That sounds acceptable to me. As long as you don't mind being handled a little... roughly.

If you can get your hands on me, you can handle
me any way that you like. Just so long as you're
aware that the same rules apply in reverse.
Do we have a deal?

I've never been opposed to a bit of handling. Rough or otherwise.

[Why fight it?]

We can't all live with the consequences of our actions.

No? Then perhaps you should rethink your actions, themselves... rather than doing things you can't stomach and then regretting them.

That's the problem. Many of us can't or won't bother with foresight in the face of a quick fix. No matter what that fix is or how we go about getting it. So we end up regretting it after the fact.

That's human too, of course. Just one me and plenty others aren't very fond of.

The human condition is full of lots of interesting little... variables. Good things and bad... I suppose one can't be proud of all of it, although I'm not sure how much there is to regret.

[She smiles.]

You almost sound like Helen. [just. more eloquent.] I can only imagine how much strife you might have caused the Organization with that kind of attitude... Although here it doesn't matter as much, does it?

[And now she sounds thoughtful.]

...Well, there's no harm in a hunt sometime, in any case. I'm suddenly feeling a little indulgent.

It took the Organization a surprisingly long time to object to my attitude. But then... that isn't unusual for them, if you're strong enough.

But I'm glad to hear it! I would so love to be indulged.

In the hunt, I mean!

They do show a preferential treatment, don't they? I guess they'd have to. Good soldiers have been harder and harder to come by over the years, it seems like.

[You know, what with all the defecting.]

...Ah. I normally go in the mornings or evenings, if that suits you. I don't expect to find much in the way of yoma, though. Most things here don't give off any energy signature at all.

Well, you know how rebellious and unwieldy people can be. It's funny how the most difficult of them end up headless, though, isn't it?

[ :D ]

I don't mind fighting things other than yoma, though. You might say it's even more exciting that way. As it happens, I'm very good with yoki-sensing... which always made battles at home exceptionally easy for me.
