You know... for all the complaints about it, I must say that lust can be quite lovely, really. After all, lust is only a strong desire. The urge to taste something, or to hold it. To touch it.
[At this point, video flickers on. Roxanne appears, at the moment, to be lounging on a rather fluffy set of red blankets and pillows, wearing the basic

I would welcome a spar.
[ And the opportunity to push herself, especially after this past week :l ]
Perhaps after this hunt concludes.

Is that something you need assistance with?

[To all the things, however reluctantly.]

The prey is a former comrade, of sorts. [Which is. Probably not an unfamiliar concept to you at all.]

[...not really.]

I mean to take him alive.

That does tend to complicate things, after all.

Enough a part of it to be executed, I suppose.
Soft? I am not ...soft.

But of course, you're no longer one of the Organization's warriors, right? Who are you, then? A deserter, instead. Does that mean you've relinquished your ideals, too?

I am a deserter, yes. [Although, there's very little shame in saying this anymore.] I've relinquished many things before arriving here, and many things since.
[And since this is after that enlightening conversation she had with Priscilla.]
What is torn down rebuilds. Ideals as well. Perhaps these will hold.

[Because, really... someone with your kind of power hardly needs to worry about allies. Alienating them, killing them, it's all part of a warrior's life, isn't it?]
[Part of life itself, really.]
It's only that one of your strength rarely shows such concern for the maintenance of personal bonds. It's very [Stupid.] different.

[That's not ENTIRELY true. But it is in this situation.]

Oh, of course I don't mean you should change your views or actions to suit others. But you should at least take note and regard with interest the names and faces of those you count as friends, or potential friends. Or enemies.
[A long pause, as though she's forgotten to answer that question. She hasn't.]
...mm. And as for me...
I was Number One.

And I wouldn't say that's always the case. I've lent a hand [:l] to those that I would not call friend nor ally. [Abyssal War, anyone?]
Mmmm. [That is the sound of being a little impressed. And curious.] The Door seems to have as much fondness for that particular rank as it does for warriors.
And ...those who were once warriors.

You've noticed that, too, have you! How many Number Ones are present?
[She starts counting them off on her fingers.]
Cassandra.
And me.
This Teresa woman.
And, of course, that Abyssal. The male. [She laughs softly] The father of us all.
Are there any others I should know about?
