[ This catches her attention because she was an orphan as well. ]

You're so sweet to give time to these children...

You're a storyteller?

Oh Misa. Why must you always linger with the sociopaths?! iwithoutaname December 14 2009, 21:57:24 UTC
I have been known to enjoy a good story, yes.

Well...

When Misa was a little girl, Misa liked Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.

Have you tried something like the Adventures of Huck Finn?

That's right! It's one of my favorites! I bet most kids would like to read it.

You should be careful what you share with them. There are some stories that are too scary for children.

Yes, it is. I just wouldn't want them having nightmares or anything.

Well... if you're looking for suggestions, I always liked the old version of the Little Mermaid. It's sad, but it's so beautiful. I think if I'd been read that one as a kid it would have been my favorite.

That's a good thing you're doing.

Hmm.

[A long pause, trying to remember books he liked as a kid.]

James and the Giant Peach. And pretty much anything you can find by Doctor Seuss.

You'll be going to the library? I'm starting to work there this week.

I'd suggest anything mythological or a fable or two. Aesop's Fables might interest them, depending on the age group.
