Spike catapults through like he'd been launched, leaving three cats dismembered and one abandoned but hopefully dismembered enough in his wake; and hit the cat Dawn grappled with the sound of leather whipping like a gunshot.

He was so intent on knocking the thing off of Dawn that he didn't pay attention to where he was headed; and Spike and cat wound up somersaulting over each other to the ground.

…yeah, about that cuing Buffy…?]

[He's not Buffy, sure (and where was Buffy because she just---) but she's glad to see him all the same. Glad and sprinting toward the cat/vampire somersault and raising her axe (blade sideways, mind you) to give the cat a sound thwack upside the head.]

[It should probably cheer her up that amidst all this chaos, she's still got near-perfect control of herself, but as Asura whistles through the air and strikes flesh with a meaty thud, all she can think about is how troublesome this whole thing is, and how tiring it is to keep this up, and how much she'd like to get back to the more boring days.

She must be getting old.

But not complacent-- the thin red blade of Asura sings a song contrary to that idea; she's not aiming for killing blows, since those seem to be a bad idea when you can't completely demolish the body. Instead, she's working to lure the creature away from the city. Keep it busy, and away from the people who need protecting.

Making a nuisance of herself for the creatures seems to be the best thing she can do here.]

[by the second day, quatre has learned how to avoid the spines and hellcats created from them, how to keep one eye out for them and another, for those in need of help. he can't save every injured, but he guides who can to the clinic and a safe place - or finds a doctor for them. once already, he pressed his hand over a gaping stomach wound and stayed with the man until he passed.

and that is maybe why he gets a little more reckless by the end of day. why he makes a split second decision to act as a distraction for one of the beasts so a family can escape.

it's probably one of his worst ideas in anatole yet, but quatre doesn't waste the time to admonish himself. he just runs when there are no more clever decoys and quick traps to make, chest heaving and blood leaving a trail for beast - for more, even. he rushes around a corner, jumps over a fallen part of a building, and laughs. alfons will be so mad with me.]
