I took Paula to see Les Mis at the Orpheum today and it was amazing. I'd seen it a few times before, but this was her first time. I loved that she was singing the songs all the rest of the day. :) And then while we were playing games later tonight, she wanted to listen to West Side Story and Grease. She's my daughter alright! It was 90ish in Richmond, VA today and here in Minneapolis we are expecting several inches of snow. One more reason moving here was one of the best decisions I ever made! -

This weekend Paula had her first Ikea experience - both the magical store itself and the assembly of purchases. She loved both! She was skeptical when I said we were going to a store of "cosas para casas" (things for houses), but once she got inside she instantly loved it and was filled with ideas and wanted to re-do every room in the house. Paula spotted my stack of cookbooks within the first few days of being here and there's one, Everyday Foods: Great Food Fast, that caught her eye because it has really nice photos of all its recipes, so she was able to tell what they were even though it's in English.
