Why I stay...

Seattle makes a number of good arguments for my staying in the region. This photo is but one:

Very pretty.

Drool-worthy camera too, I see from the full-sized picture's photo information.

The camera was a lifelong dream and an absolute requirement for Africa. I have yet to stretch it to its full capabilities, but it has already proven itself worth the purchase price and then some.

I'll have to remember that as an excuse to upgrade from a very good camera to a grossly expensive camera when we do our wildlife park safari.

Ah yes.

I have some similar pictures (colors and all) of the Anderson Island ferry pulling out, taken from the back deck of my parents' house in Steilacoom.

There's a reason they're in my set of rotating desktop backgrounds.

One of the things I like best about living here is that you don't need to necessarily go anywhere special for jaw-dropping views.

"La la la, shopping at the Market. . . ooooh!" "Goin' to the video store to drop off my rentals. . . ooh!" "Going to the kitchen in my office for a soda. . . ooh!" etc.

(transportation wise) -

Aside from riding the SLUT which is free this month, there's also a "holiday" passenger ferry to Port Townsend.

I have some Seattle photos on display in my home here in Omaha, reminding me of where I usually would rather be.
