I have had situations like this--the time the orangecat got his head trapped through the handles of a grocery bag and flew screaming across the apartment, trailing the thing like a demented parachute, psychically scarred the tortiecat for weeks--and they did always resolve, with time and patience.

It is deeply shocking, but it's not that uncommon. Cat brains seem to undergo occasional traumatic reboots that can corrupt or even wipe the RAM. Luckily it's usually possible to reinstall the OS and get them back to some form of previous normal.

Yeah - Boomer has to get a reset every now and again, when he forgets to be a peaceable boy (usually after loud noises outside have wound him up) and tries to play dominance game with the human. He usually settled down again after a day or two.

I have confidence that all three of you will settle back down again soon.

I am glad to hear they are doing better!

We had lapsed in our Feliway dispenser usage and restarted again recently (we usually have 3 or 4 around the house) - Thalia is perpetually irritable around the boys in general and Talisker in particular. *sigh* I felt like it made things worse, but our reservoirs ran out and now it's even more of an issue. :/

I'm glad it's better. I have to express my astonishment at it happening at all - I've never heard of such a thing before, and am following your difficult adventure with open-mouthed raptitude.

"Peacening" -- love the word. You should copyright it before somebody really does grab it for a movie title. Then you could sell it to them for gazillions and use your newfound wealth for a life of leisure.
