After seeing mienoel's post about her Autumn Shawl, I'm inspired to do some stash-busting. There is no memories category for stashbusting, and I think there should be. Help me out mods? Does anyone else have some favorite stashbuster projects to go with it?

I've finally found a yarn I like for Clapotis. It's called Yang, no brand name. Made in France, all synthetic, and gorgeous. It's a delicate ribbon/ladder yarn in a melangé of what I call 'Monet' colors. Deep purple, sky blue, emerald green, delicate teal and a touch of pale pink. I swear, when knitted up, it almost looks like 'Waterlilies'. ( Read more... )

I don't normally ask, "what do I do with this yarn?", but this time I really want suggestions. I have a $53 skein of Lorna's Lace's "Helen's Lace", 50% silk / 50% wool, 1280 yds., in the Georgetown colorway, a nice blue/green oceanic mix. I am a fairly advanced knitter, and I'm game to pretty much anything. Purchasing a pattern is ok.

I've recently discovered Cascade 220, and I'm quite fond of it, at least in the working stages, as I haven't yet completed the cardigan. I just got the Elann.com newsletter and I'm tempted by the price of the Peruvian Collection Highland Wool. Oh, how I hate end-weaving. I STILL haven't done the finishing work on the Rainbow Blankey, or Skullyette, which I finished almost a week ago. All those ends... ugh.
