help me........

I have a plain boring ceiling that’s in need of some paint, or something to spice it up and also match the wall paint. Only problem is painting it is REALLY hard since it’s that textured stuff! So, I need any ideas for painting or just making my ceiling look better! Any ideas what so ever are appreciated! ^___^

own or rent? Cuz if that's a popcorn ceiling you can remove the texture.

I own. and I guess I could do that, but I really don't have much time and that sounds like it takes a lot of time........

I don't know how it's done either. So I couldn't even begin to tell you how hard/easy/timeconsuming it is.

If you do want to take it off, it is SUPER EASY. But it can be messy, very messy.

Take a squirt bottle and spray a spot a couple times. In a few seconds, the water will loosen the texture and you can easily scrape it off (we used those things you use to smooth spackle... just run it along the ceiling). Now, it's best to work in small areas (like what you can reach from your ladder) at a time, otherwise larger loosened areas may fall on their own, creating a bigger mess. You don't need much water to loosen this stuff, and if any places seem sticky just give them an extra squirt. After you remove it, let the ceiling dry, and then sweep it a bit with a broom to get any leftover dust off. Smooth and ready to paint!

The paint-sprayer is lso what I'd suggest, though I'd really have to warn you off having such a dark colour on your ceiling.

If your house is older the popcorn celing could contain asbestose, and you DON't want to mess with it.

you could cover the ceiling in magazine ads. i did it and i love it. i wanted my celing black but my mom didnt want me to paint it so dark. just get same gum-tack studd and cut out a lot of ads
