Finding My Voice

I'm a Gemini, and They say that makes me easily vacillate between two opposing extremes. When They're feeling generous, They say that Geminis can embrace the two sides to every story, can be of two minds about issues. Whatever. I doubt my wishy-washy nature has much at all to do with the stars.

I blame my fantastically large and flexible brain.

Start by joining the BlogHer network and getting a proper blog in place of LJ or FB:

http://www.blogher.com/

Follow up by attending one of the conferences.

It took Mighty Girl the better part of a decade to get to where she is now. She and Dooce both hit their stride after about five years of full time concerted effort -- with help from folks with a lot of marketing experience.

In the end you won't know until you try. And I say try to meet Mighty Girl - the two of you would get on rather well and that's one of the best starts you can have.

What he said...

I do find your blog entertaining and insightful. I think you have alot to share that can benefit others. The challenge is getting over the fear of failure and embracing (and in a way creating) your future success.

Thanks, Mr.J. I've been aware of blogher for a while. I have the start of a "proper blog" but have hit some snags. I guess if I want this to happen, I'll have to find a way through them or around them.

I'm thinking people might want to read you for just this reason. You're not one or the other. You feel one way and the other. Does anyone? Isn't that why we're here?

Living in a world of in-betweens and being willing to be seen fully while no clear path presents itself and you bang around trying to figure it out might be challenging and weird and really pretty damned interesting.

Just a thought.

Thank you for your ever-present support, Dakini. You're a gem. ;-)

Yeah. Banging around, trying to figure it out. That's me.

I can relate, being a Gemini! I think that your blog is great, and it's completely fine to focus on different things and be different people at different times. Keeps life interesting! I agree that your brain is fantastically large and flexible...a true Gemini. :)
