She’ll never stop being a mom, wanting to see her child happy, to make things better if she can. One of the best things though is Josh, and Jensen and his mom joking about Josh. That made me smile

Another bittersweet moment when Jensen asks Jared to tell him something about the space program. Jared always needs that to calm him, and now Jensen needs it, too.
I am so glad you pointed this out. It's been missed by some I believe. Jared's 'obsession' with the space program. Sure, it's a little bit of his Asperger's and it's also his coping mechanism. But it's more. Because it's not just trivia he spits out randomly. There's a reason behind it all. There's a connection he's made to values and strength and a code for life. It's his core value system come to life. And Jensen instinctively picks up on it. He asks Jared for this to hear strength and integrity. Ultimately this gives him the strength to be honest himself.
I haven't commented about Tom before mostly cause I've been focused on Jared/Jensen but I have to say he really is an ass. They're clearly not in love but they do seem to genuinely be friends and I don't understand why Tom is so oblivious to his friend's discomfort and I don't understand why Jensen can't be more honest with his friend. Off to the next chapter... there can't be a wedding, there just can't!
Thanks. I wish I had more time to delve into Tom. I think maybe one day he'll meet someone and open up. As for the wedding. Yeah, there sorta is a wedding.
OH GOD I HATE TOM!!!!! He's an ass. He's screaming for equality and all that but he feels fine making tasteless jokes and Jared?? I hate him. PLEASE DON'T LET THIS WEDDING HAPPEN!!!!
Poor Tom. He really was the heavy in this tale and I dump a lot on him. I hint at his tragic backstory but that doesn't excuse the way he is toward Jared. Because he's my creation I see him more as a lost soul. Not that anybody would read it but I'd like to write a Tom/[someone] love story one day.
