This is incredibly powerful. One of the most moving pieces you've written. So much characterization in the visual images!

It looks good all cleaned up. :) Thanks for the prompt to write something more with these boys. And for making it better!

omgosh this broke my heart ;_; poor jensen. i totally understand his fear (though i haven't been traumatized like little jensen) because thunderstorms keep me awake with my heart racing a hundred miles an hour. so happy jay (and even danneel) is there for him. the cuddling is so sad and sweet.

my absolute favorite is your jared. so considerate and gentle, and telling jen he's the one that's scared of thunderstorms just to ease the tension, to be able to hold jen. love the original and this prequel so much.

Thanks so much. I'm delighted that you found this touching. I wasn't planning on revisiting Seagulls because it seemed like a complete story. But then I read another of Suchoon Mo's poems and inspiration struck. Oddly, I read the poem after I'd written the first story. This time he really served as muse.

Your saying you like this Jared is making me itch to write a Jared POV in this verse. Not sure when. Must get back to my Big Bang. But hopefully one day.

yes. please. please. jared ;_; it's just so heartbreaking for me to think about what he went through during his relationship with jensen, before leaving to UCLA. jared's confusion and insecurities as well. idk. this is just a perfect story. and good luck on your big bang! :DDD

Thank you! That's a lovely compliment. I found this poet and he's serving as muse. It's like his poetic style matches my sensibility for brevity.

Anyway, these have been challenging, so, thanks for saying you thought it worked.

I like the fact that its so stripped down

Yes. Same poet. Lovely writing. Exactly. Stripped to its core. It's magical to me.
