I am still unsuccessful at finding a job. My husband is working a job (as an employee finally but crummy pay) he does not really like just so he can work. My mother is driving me nuts

Weirdly enough, I understand your dilemma. The subject of moving had been brought up by my parents sevral times in the past few years. Long story short: they want to move to the south of France. Right now, they can't do it because my brother wants to stay here and we're not sure we could find a school that would allow him to continue that course he's in. Also, we're still tight on the money and there's the issue of finding work. My point is, your situation is even more complicated, especially with a young child like yours. I agree, it is nice to think of moving some place better, and it's also the perfect time for you to move. But you don't know what the future's made of. Maybe in a year from now those conditions will be there again. Maybe you can give yourself a year and then think again about it, weight the pros and cons, see how things have evolved. Don't give up on your dream of moving. ^^
The problem is we could find a house there and the kids would acclimate okay I'm sure but we cannot sell our house here so even if we wanted to go, we can't. Maybe the market will recover in a year or so and then we can see where we're at.
The south of France is warmer for the majority of the year isn't it? I'm sure it's not talked about with the same dreamy look in the eye as it is here in the states but the south of France is thought of as a dream to many people here. Did that make sense?
Yeah, maybe in a year you'll be able to reevaluate your situation and think of moving again. Who knows? Anything's possible. Yeah, much warmer. Not Nevada-desert-warm but warmer still. And a lot less rainy than here in Normandy. I understand what you mean. It's talked about a lot too, for it's warms and its small typical villages, sceneries and stuff. Now I may be wrong, but it's a generation thing is think. For instance my parents talk about it constantly and moving there is their longtime dream, as it is the dream of many people we know. But it's not mine, nor my friend's. I mean, I like it there but I'm not dying to live there either you know?
I'm sure the less rain is a big draw. The south is a big draw in the states because of no snow. I'm glad to know it's not just us Americans who talk up the south of France. =) Well, you are a bit younger than I am and I would love to live in the south of France. So romantic! Again, I am a bit (just a bit tee hee) older than you are though. Yes, I understand - you like it but as much as you like pie. =)
