Stuff continues unabated

House driving me inexorably and none too slowly round the frigging bend. Plumber B has fecked up bigtime and quoted us a price for fitting wood burners that is almost exactly 50% of the 'real' price so must now find a way to pull 2000 euro out of my butt as have passed the point of no return really for reinstating a plain fireplace. Arsehole! ( Read more... )

*hugs* I'm glad you didn't have any bad side effects to the vaccination.

Me too *hugs back* Sorry to be so crap about LJing but my time has been devoured lately between kid-stuff and house-stuff and health-stuff. I hardly know who I am anymore. Roll on moving in!

I'm glad that none of you experienced any side effects from the vaccination.

As for the 'anti-vaxxer' she should be ashamed of herself.

We haven't got any vaccine here yet - I am blaming Gordon Brown, who dislikes us all personally - I think his mother must have been frightened by a Manx cat carrying a kipper when she was pregnant... But I'll be happy to have mine when we get some. As one of the 'flu nurses' I reckon I'll get offered it.

And I am a horrible person, as I hope that that mother, at least, gets it really badly - and then when she is feeling really grotty that her daughter gets it too - even though I wouldn't wish it so badly on the child!

Sorry about the house stuff - I could donate Christmas decorations, but sadly no more practical help - being too far away to come and hit your workmen with fish...

We may be pushed budget wise but I am sorely tempted to buy you a plane ticket and one for your fish too.

Fuck Gordon Brown!

I really need to do that vaccination thing. We've got a couple of people here who are worried -- but they are also sure that people voted for Obama bacause they wanted to say they voted for the first Black president, too...

And also, can you hold the plumber to the estimate?

And also, can you hold the plumber to the estimate Ah! wouldn't that be luverly. The fact is he is not competent to do the work and it would be a disaster. I don't think he realised he would have to remove and replace chimney pots and to be fair neither did I.

I'd go for vaccination double quick if i was still teaching. Students are little germ packets. Go on a Friday igf yopu can though in case you do get the side effects which can leave you feeling shaky and shivery for two to three days afterwards.

Oh Lord! I cannot get used to this new keyboard Mr Wol came home with. My apologies to 'yopu' for the typos.

Don't think I hugged you sufficiently for your days. HUGS again. Sleep well and here's hoping the kids sleep through.

Did not quite sob and clutch your knees last night crying 'take me with you!' ... possibly because you were also headed for land of home improvement hell.
