crawling back to normality ...

My system seems to have responded to the return of husband by crashing like a DC10 (anyone else remember DC10s? - didn't think so). Now i am sleeping all the extra hours I can grab and sitting down a lot the rest of the time. Still Mother-in-Law came to help us this weekend which was blissful as she cooks like a trooper at the best of times and ( Read more... )

I know I've never met her, but I really do love your kid. She sounds like a real firecracker. *g*

*hugs* I hope you get some much-needed rest, with most of the cooking out of the way at least!

She's very lovable alright! I still find it hysterical that out of all the details of the operation it is the fact that they put the gland in a freezer that she finds outlandish. Freezers are for ice-cream I suppose in her world.

Rest will come in increments.

Hey, I've flown in DC-10s - I skipped the crashing.

I love hearing about DD, I'm glad your hubbie is home and she's not upset anymore about his absense. I'm also glad that you've been able to relax and get some sleep.

*snuggles*

Wow! direct experience. That is way up on my theoretical knowledge. DC9s i have flown in but not 10s.

We are all glad he is home and there has been snuggling, very definitely.

DC10s! I remember those planes, and the crashes. I'm glad you're getting help around the house. And your daughter sounds so caring and smart. She's looking for reasons why things happen and understands so much more than you'd expect at that age. I like the way she mentions the reassuring elements, like the doctor making sure it didn't hurt.

Still waters running deep, that's our daughter. She seems to wear her heart upon her sleeve, as she is very demonstrative, but she will also take ideas away and quietly think about them for months sometimes before coming back to you with her conclusions or questions.

OK, OK seems like most people remember the DC10s. Perhaps I should stop feeling old and full of useless information - or at least feeling solitary in either state.

"Part of Dada was broken and not working right and it was making him sick so the doctor cut a little hole in him while he was sleeping so it wouldn't hurt and took out the kidney stone and sent it to a laboratory where they have a look at it and put it in a freezer which sounds funny but is TRUE!"

That is brilliant! Hooray for himself being home and your families for feeding you all.

3 cheers for the feeding of us! Pity that with my appetite at the moment a week's food can be gone in two days. OK, I exaggerate, but only a bit.
