OMG... this was gorgeous. Incredibly sad, incredibly well written. And I can very easily imagine that this is what really happened. It would really make sense - I mean, they never talk about Elizabeth's mum, and obviously madness would be very embarrassing to talk about... and of course Weatherby's intense love for his daughter and his obliviousness to her many faults. Brilliant fic. I have to add this to my Memories. Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for this piece of art.
