Superbowl Virgin
It's not too often that I can claim to be a virgin of something, but I certainly was one last night.
I actually watched the superbowl with my sister for the commercials and the half-time show. I don't even like football, but when the final touchdown happened--it gave me goosebumps!

Gotta get this off my chest!
I'm no fuckin' "St. Mary" or "St. Sandy". I really get sick and tired of people, including my husband, expounding on how fantastic these women are. How clean they keep their homes, how they always find bargains, how fantastic they cook, etc... Cancer... It's a bastard or a bitch depending on the gender...
I recently was informed by a close friend of mine that he has colon cancer. He will be going in for surgery on the 19th to have a portion of his large intestine removed. He's not sure at this point if he will need chemo or not. He's been through a variety of tests and the doctor feels certain that it's in the early and very treatable stage. I' ( Read more... ) -
So glad we didn't go for those chicken wings last night
I guess it can happen anywhere--even in a smallish town. The restuarant where we go to get our chicken wings, which is a couple of minutes and a couple streets away (we live on Woodland Rd.), had a hostage situation late yesterday afternoon.
