Our last day in Tokyo was the only clear day. It made us realize how much the cloud cover had kept the heat off!

We started the day off with a tour of the Imperial Palace. We got the permit ahead of time, and were surprised to see that of a couple hundred folks on the tour we were virtually the only non-Asians there. I guess most tourists either ( Read more... )

Ok, so it's day 2 of being out and about- I just cannot count our flight in as day 1! Today we took the train to Kamakura. At this point we have mastered the subway, the metro, and the JR- all of which make BART look pretty sad.

First of all, I have to say that NW airlines is SO nice- I'll never use United again, given the option to take NW! We made it in on Saturday late afternoon, and headed straight to our hotel in Tokyo. We have an awesome view of the Tokyo Tower out our window. Thankfully we got some sleep and got an early start the next morning.
