We are hanging out in a really nice hotel in Luxor. I could only wish we had a hotel like this in Cairo! At any rate, we're only renting a room for the day- so dirty! It's been a busy few days!! We are having lots of fun, but this is the first chance we've had to get to an internet cafe- which is probably just as well.

We did go to Alexandria on Monday. We went to the fort where the ancient Pharos lighthouse stood, and saw photos of all of the old temples and houses which are now under water- some people dive ( Read more... )

We leave for Cairo one week from tomorrow! Time has totally flown by. I have a ton of things for work- which at this point may or may not get finished. I have taken it really easy this week. The exhaustion from last week totally caught up with me. So I've been getting to bed early and limiting myself to what I can do. Right now I've mostly caught up on sleep, and my chapped hands and lips are mostly back to normal. We haven't even gone back to unload the van, but I'm not in any hurry to do that. ( Read more... )
