We leave for Cairo one week from tomorrow! Time has totally flown by. I have a ton of things for work- which at this point may or may not get finished. I'll do what I can, and then leave it behind as the plane takes off: that is the rule. I'm already having to remind people regularly that I'll soon be far far away

Wow!!! Hope you have a great trip. As for reading material, I recommend anything from the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters - "The Last Camel Died at Noon" was my favorite. Oh, and when you're in London check out Atlantis Bookshop :)

Funny you suggest her books- I've actually been working my way through the entire series over the past few months. Plus I read her two books solely on Egypt under the name Barbara Mertz! And we'll definitely be cruising by Atlantis. Thanks for the suggestions. :)

I believe there is a connection, but Al would know better than I. At the very least I'm sure we'll go by there as it's close to our hotel.
