We're beginning to cast Rite of Saturn. Already the energy feels like it has started to bulid. This is going to be quite a learning experience!

John got his clearance to work yesterday. He starts Monday, but goes in today for orientation - where's my desk, the bathroom, lunchroom, fill out the health care paperwork etc. We went out for Indonesian food last night to celebrate - yummy!

We saw our first movie in Amsterdam last night. What a hoot, it was very, very silly - we went to My Super Ex-Girlfriend - UMA IS SO HOT! The days here are full - still more meetings with lawyers and government officials trying to get paperwork sorted out. We arrived yesteday but I'm too tired to write much. Peter met us at the door and gave us tea and cake while his crew did the last minute clean up and put the finishing touches on the house - fresh flowers in the vases and food in the fridge, etc. Cats arrived today, tomorrow we go to the lawyers to be briefed for Friday's appt. at immigration. The garage sale on the weekend went well and the leftovers were donated to charity yesterday. Many thanks to Alethea93 who came over the night before and helped make it a success. Yesterday was just one of those days! Trying to beat the heat - we made an attempt to get to the coast where the air is a bit cooler, but the Universe had other plans. A friend's daughter has been murdered. I just can't get my head around this senseless act of violence. What do you say to someone who has lost their child in this tragic way? Dazed and shocked I search for answers - how to offer comfort when nothing in the world can bring her back to them...
