If circumstances were impossible to bend, would you still fight against it? If fate was already written for you, how would you change it?

Finally... Would these actions be considered wise or foolish?

Of course I would.

...And half my friends would think I was being stupid. The other half would probably be trying to do the same thing.

Even though your actions may prove to be fruitless?

So what? At least I'd have tried. If I just did nothing then I'd know what the end would be.

Then even if the situation never changed, if fate was never broken... the fact that you fought and tried with all your being is enough.

I'd keep fighting. I don't know if it's wise or foolish, nor do I care. Some things are just worth fighting for.

And if your struggle was for naught? How would you continue doing this if your actions gave the same results no matter how hard you fought?

I wouldn't give up. It is frustrating to accomplish nothing, but nothing will ever be accomplished if you don't even try.

To never give up on your task, no matter the possibilities involved, is admirable. Although some may question your motives.

Fate doesn't exist; it's just the will of someone along the line. All I need to do is kill the person whose will is creating this "fate."

And if that was an impossibility?

compos_mentis August 1 2009, 03:34:26 UTC
It wouldn't be. Impossible just means that I've fail, in which case I'll be dead.

Your world must be a harsh environment.

You wouldn't know it was impossible unless you tried to do something about it in the first place.

And if you had? Or if you knew people who have tried countless times, only to receive the same results?

There's no point stopping in the middle of something you've already started.

If one thing doesn't work, try something else- that's the basic theory behind pretty much everything. Society as many people know it wouldn't even exist if it weren't for that belief.

That is true. What if those around you had stopped trying, leaving only you to fight an evil far greater than you imagined?

There are no circumstances that are impossible to bend. Only those that are more difficult to do so.

It would never seem foolish to change circumstance to be better. Sometimes even actions that seem foolish can yield good results. The only thing that is foolish is to sit back and do nothing.

And if your actions gave no such results for some time? If those around you had already stopped, giving in to the evils around them. Would you join them, or rise above them?

The only thing that would stop me is my own death, or my being the last one still alive. There is little that can be done then.

That may well be what I left in my own world. People exist here, there is hope for change to this world at least.

I may prefer Luceti to my own world, but that doesn't mean I don't think it could be made to be a better place for even those who feel as I do, if that is what you are speaking of as far as impossible circumstances.

Do you sometimes feel that you're the only one who has such thoughts?
